Homestays and camping
Create rooms or sites, set prices and inventory, handle check-in and check-out
Set your default rules first
Homestay and camping settings live under Dashboard → “Booking Settings”. Start on the “Basic Info” tab:
- Check-in and check-out times: “Default check-in time” and “Default check-out time”; the initial values are 15:00 and 11:00.
- Length of stay: “Default min nights” must be at least 1 and cannot exceed “Default max nights”; the maximum can be left empty.
- Allow same-day booking: Decides whether customers can book to check in today.
Remember to click the save button below after making changes.
Create rooms or campsites
Switch to the “Homestay / Camping plans” tab (called “Campground plans” for campgrounds) and click “Add homestay / camping plan” (or “Add campground plan”).
- Enter a name and choose the type: “Whole property / house” or “Room type / room” (for campgrounds, “Whole zone / private zone” or “Campsite / camping pitch”). Add a description and an image too.
- Set the “Suggested capacity”, “Max guests”, “Total” (how many rooms or sites can be rented at once; usually 1 for a whole property) and the “Price” (the base price per night).
- If needed, also fill in “Default min nights”, “Default max nights” and the sort order, make sure the plan is enabled, then save.
A campground plan can be a single site, a bring-your-own-tent area, a glamping tent or a cabin. Create the basic plan first, then adjust prices for specific dates with pricing rules.
Pricing rules and inventory overrides
- Pricing rules: Create a “Weekday rule”, “Date range rule” or “Special date rule”, each with its own “Price per night”, minimum and maximum nights and “Priority”. When several rules match, the one with the higher priority applies; when none match, the plan's base price is used.
- Inventory overrides: For a given plan and day, change the “Total” (0 means it cannot be booked), mark it as “Closed date”, or restrict whether check-in or check-out is allowed that day. The “Booking status” below shows what is left each day.
Booking link and customer bookings
- Booking Link & QR Code: On the tab of the same name, copy the link or generate a QR code to share with guests.
- Booking Notice: Enter a title and text that guests see first when they open the booking page (for example check-out rules or campground rules).
- Branded booking page: On Growth and above, “Booking Page Settings” lets you edit the room and property introductions and reservation details, and use a custom short URL (the tab names differ slightly for campgrounds).
- Campgrounds only: The “Resource Map” tab lets you upload a site plan and mark the position of every campsite on it.
Guests pick their check-in and check-out dates and a plan, enter their contact details and submit. After that, you confirm with them, and nothing is charged before they book. If online booking payment is turned on, guests pay a deposit or the full amount first and the booking is confirmed automatically once they pay (see “Collecting deposits online” below).
Collecting deposits online (Growth plan and above)
To have guests pay a deposit or the full amount when they book, use your own LINE Pay or Stripe (card). The money goes straight to your payment account, the booking is confirmed automatically once payment succeeds, and it is recorded in your POS accounts. It needs the Growth plan or above (available during the 30-day trial).
- Go to the dashboard → “Payment Settings”, turn on online payment, and enter your LINE Pay or Stripe keys, then save.
- On the same page, set the store-wide rule under “Online booking payment (deposit / full amount)”: “Don't collect”, “Fixed amount”, “Percentage” or “Full amount”.
- A single room type or campsite can override it: when editing the plan on the plans tab, choose “Use store setting” or another rule under “Online deposit”.
- After submitting, the guest goes to a payment page and has 30 minutes to pay. Once paid, the booking becomes “Confirmed” automatically; if unpaid, it is cancelled and the inventory is released. The booking list and details show statuses such as “Deposit due” and “Paid”.
- Refunds are manual: refund the guest in the LINE Pay / Stripe dashboard, then press “Mark as refunded” in the booking details so the POS payment is reversed. The system never sends refunds for you.
If payment is not set up, or your plan does not include it, guests are not asked to pay and the booking still waits for your confirmation.
Handle bookings, check-in and check-out
Go to Dashboard → “Bookings” (titled “Homestay / Camping bookings”). You can filter by check-ins today, check-outs today and status, and search for a guest. The flow is:
- A new booking starts as “Pending”. Open it and click “Confirm”.
- When the guest arrives click “Check-in”, and when they leave click “Check-out”.
- If the guest does not show, “Mark no-show”. To cancel, click “Cancel” and enter a reason.
Checked-out, cancelled and no-show bookings cannot be moved back to another status, and the inventory they held is released. You also have:
- Room Calendar: Available on Starter and above. View each plan's availability day by day over 7, 14 or 30 days, and use “New reservation” to quickly add a walk-in guest.
- Show housekeeping: Track housekeeping progress on the calendar: “Dirty”, “Cleaning”, “Clean”, “Inspected”.
Camping extras (Pro)
Campgrounds on Pro (also during the 30-day trial) can use “Gear Rental” and “Weather Alerts”.
- Gear Rental: The first time you open it, click “Enable”. Then add “Categories” and “Gear Items” (name, “Total quantity”, “Daily rate”) so guests can add gear when they book a site. “Rentals” tracks “Pending”, “Confirmed”, “Checked out” and “Returned”.
- Weather Alerts: After you choose your county or city you see the next 7 days of weather. With “Automatic alert emails” on, guests are emailed automatically when the forecast reaches “Warning” level or higher.
Plans and limits
- Trial and expiry: New accounts get a 30-day trial. When a trial or plan ends, the store moves to the Free plan automatically and keeps taking bookings, with a limit of 15 bookings per month and no room calendar.
- Monthly bookings: Free 15, Starter 100, Growth 500 and Pro 2,000.
- Feature requirements: Booking management is on every plan. The room calendar needs Starter or above; the branded booking page, members and custom short URL need Growth or above; gear rental, weather alerts and staff management need Pro.
