Payment Setup

Set up Stripe, LINE Pay, and other payment methods

Supported Payment Methods

  • CashCustomers pay at the store, no extra setup needed
  • StripeSupports credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay
  • LINE PayA popular mobile payment method in Taiwan

Set Up Stripe

  1. Register an account on the Stripe website
  2. Complete the merchant verification process
  3. Get your API keys (Publishable Key and Secret Key) from the Stripe dashboard
  4. Go to Dingdong Dashboard → Settings → Payment Settings
  5. Enter your Stripe API keys and enable

Stripe fees are approximately 2.9% + NT$9 per transaction, charged directly by Stripe.

Set Up LINE Pay

  1. Apply for a merchant account on the LINE Pay website
  2. Complete the review process (approximately 3-5 business days)
  3. Get your Channel ID and Channel Secret Key
  4. Go to Dingdong Dashboard → Settings → Payment Settings
  5. Enter your LINE Pay API keys and enable

Payment Flow

After enabling online payments, the customer ordering flow is:

  1. Customer selects items and adds to cart
  2. At checkout, choose a payment method (cash or online payment)
  3. Selecting online payment redirects to the payment page
  4. After successful payment, automatically returns and shows order confirmation

FAQ

Q: Does Dingdong charge payment processing fees?

A: No, Dingdong does not charge any payment processing fees. You only pay the standard fees from the payment provider (e.g. Stripe).

Q: How long until funds are deposited?

A: It depends on the payment provider. Stripe typically takes 2-7 business days, LINE Pay is approximately T+2 days.
